Countdown Timer

A Countdown Timer with unlimited custom timer groups. While this application may be used as a simple egg timer, it’s so much more. It lets you make unlimited amounts of timer groups and in each timer group you may have as many timers as you want. Furthermore, it offers plenty of customisable options, such as alarm tone, vibration, screen dimming prevention and so on. The options can be set for the entire timer group or to separate timers.

With Countdown Timer you don't need to set the timer for repeating task every time. For example, you could have Timer Group called Pasta. In this group you would then have a timer for each kind of pasta with their cooking times, like Linguine 00:09:00, Penne 00:11:00, Spaghetti 00:06:00 and so on. Now all you have to do for cooking your favourite pasta is to boil the water (and don't forget to add the all-important salt), add the pasta and select the corresponding timer.

Nice app, but sound alarm doesn't work. Vibro only

Great timer! But I also wish I could set up to 7 days countdown.

Thanks :)

7 days? That is a bit long, but in theory you could set up a Timer Group with 7 x 24h (or 23:59:59 to be exact) timers in it and then set the Timer mode to immediate. This would be 7 days (minus 7 seconds). ;)

Great timer. Groups and saved settings are very useful. But, I would have hoped that the timers can run at the same time, this is the feature that most timers miss. If I'm baking bread and cooking eggs at the same time, I'd want to have many timers in parallel.

It seems that there's no way to go back in the start screen. This isn't needed, but it feels slightly confusing at first.

Thanks. :)

Having multiple timers running at the same time, is not a bad idea, but that would mean some serious changes in the code. But perhaps in the future, if I have time, I could try to implement something like that.

I didn't quite get what you meant by "there's no way to go back in the start screen". Could you please elaborate so that perhaps I could fix this in a update. You can comment here or send me an email to [email protected]

Well, when you open the app there's no timers set (that first screenshot). Once you choose something like 'Pasta', you can't go back to the start screen. At least I didn't find a way. It wasn't clear at first that I have to click 'Pasta' to change the category.

Oh, OK. No I understand what you mean. By pressing the reset button next to the play button, it will reset timer to 00:00:00 and unselect the Timer Group.

I should add that to the Help text. And many other things, but I'm really bad in writing help files. It's so very boring... ;)

Ok, I see! You know, I thought that will reset just the current timer. I think you could improve the usability by showing list of categories in the starting screen, like: Bread, Pasta, Eggs etc. and when you choose one it shows the timers for that category. With back button you could go to the category view again.

These are just minor things though, nothing too bad. Also it's better if help texts aren't needed and it just works.

Perhaps I should make it more obvious that by pressing the Timer Groups name will open the select dialog. Maybe by adding a menu icon next to the name.

I do agree that the less help needed the better. However, sometimes it's not so easy to add some more complex features without making the UI a bit more complicated.
